On March 9th, BEE WING held a private session at G-ROKS Studio in Tokyo,
inviting players to experience its sound in a real-volume environment.
Centered around the BEE WING Standard series,
participants tested the instruments at stage and studio-level volume,
evaluating low-end definition, response, and how the bass sits within an ensemble.
Professional bassists and industry professionals attended the session,
providing valuable feedback from a wide range of perspectives.
Bassists including Ju-ken and Wataru Suzuki took part in the session,
where BEE WING Sound Designer Takayuki Murata shared insights into the design philosophy and sound,
leading to in-depth discussions.
Players Session
What you hear at low volume is not the full story.
BEE WING is designed for real playing conditions.
As volume increases, low frequencies tend to expand and lose definition,
often disappearing within the mix.
BEE WING was created to address this.
A low end that remains controlled,
and naturally sits in the ensemble — even at higher volumes.
Not excessive. Not muddy.
Just clear, defined, and responsive.
The difference becomes clear not at low volume,
but in real-world playing environments.
This session provided an opportunity to experience that difference firsthand.
