The Next Standard
BEE WING-Standard is the result of nearly five years of prototyping, testing, and refinement.
The world surrounding the electric bass has evolved.Amps, effects, recording tools,
and playback systems have become more powerful — and more revealing than ever.
So we asked a simple question: What should the low end be in this era?
A vintage-inspired form without nostalgia.
A sound that remains defined in high-resolution environments.
Playability that feels natural — keeping the player fully focused.
Our goal was to bring these elements together in an instrument worthy of being called the next standard.
A small team tested ideas in real-world settings, rebuilt, and tested again — until it finally felt right.
We hope this bass will become part of many players’ sound — and their standard.

Where Tonal Response Begins
The headstock plays a key role in how a note responds and projects.
BEE WING’s straight, articulate tone begins with this clean, purposeful design.
We use a classic four-screw tuner mounting — nothing excessive, nothing ornamental.
A straightforward configuration built for clarity and control.
The character of the low end starts with the neck.
In our view, the neck plays an even greater role than the body in defining the instrument’s overall response.
At first feel, the BEE WING neck may seem slightly fuller in profile.
Whether that impression comes from the width, the depth, or the distinctive taper will vary from player to player.
The design centers on a deliberately narrow width, balanced depth, and a unique tapered grip.
This structure lets you feel string vibration and harmonics naturally through your hands, supporting a relaxed playing style without unnecessary tension.
A dual-action truss rod allows precise adjustment in both directions.
Designed from tone, not appearance.
The body respects the classic P-Bass style while incorporating a design unique to BEE WING.
Each contour — upper and lower, front and back — influences the instrument’s EQ character and overall response.
For that reason, the shape was defined with tonal direction in mind, not just aesthetics.
The cutaway remains classic and comfortable, providing smooth access to higher positions without distraction.
The pickups are based on a JJ configuration.
They offer a slightly rawer character than a traditional Jazz Bass, yet remain tighter and more focused than a PJ setup.
Custom-tuned specifically for this model, the original bar-style pickups deliver clarity and definition without sacrificing nuance.
In a band setting, try slightly rolling back the bridge pickup.
You may discover a tight, supportive relationship with the drums — distinct from a traditional Jazz Bass feel.
Built to let the natural voice speak.
BEE WING features the BW Custom 3-Band EQ — an original preamp developed specifically for this instrument.
The concept is simple:
to capture the bass’s powerful natural resonance with ample headroom, and deliver it to the speaker cleanly — without compressing the feel.
It took nearly three years to finalize the circuit: preserving the instrument’s lively acoustic character while giving you quick access to usable punch, presence, and low-end control.
From a natural, buffer-like transparency to the classic NY-style scoop, and all the way to a forward midrange that holds its place in the mix, it offers a wide range of practical tones.
Paired with TESLA BW Custom pickups, the system is tuned as a single, complete voice — built to work in real ensembles, not in isolation.
If your sound feels buried, try boosting the mids slightly instead of the treble.
You can bring the bass forward without shifting its position in the mix.
A Low-B you can approach like your E string.
With the BEE WING 5-string, our goal was clear:
a Low-B with definition and speed.
Not just a lower note —
but a Low-B that responds with the same confidence and control as the E string on a 4-string.
String spacing is set at 17mm.
Even for players accustomed to 18mm or 19mm spacing, it remains comfortable — from technical slap passages to broader, more physical playing.
Tight. Practical.
A 5-string, built the BEE WING way.
